Stronger together against plastic pollution: On June 17th and 18th, 2023, the “End Plastic Soup in Cam Ranh” project successfully started with a two-day clean-up campaign on the shores of Long Beach. More than 300 enthusiastic volunteers from Vietnamese Rotary clubs, hotels and local schools joined forces for a common cause. Their efforts resulted in a staggering 1.5 tons of plastic being collected along the 15-kilometer stretch of Long Beach that will find a new life through upcycling.
The “End Plastic Soup in Cam Ranh” is in line with the global project “End Plastic Soup”. This initiative, supported by Rotarians around the world, envisions a future without plastic pollution in our oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, forests, parks, and roads by 2050.
